Use this when you can't use a hoop, or as an alternative to using spray adhesives when hooping very stretchy or hard to hoop materials. Also excellent on brushed denim suede and leather to reduce hoop marks. Good on hard to hoop applications such as shirt collars and cuffs
These embroidery stabilizers have a pressure sensitive coating and a release liner. Peel and Stick backing has three general uses: Hard-to-hoop applications such as shirt collars, cuffs, etc; the stabilization of high stretch fabrics such as bicycle shorts, promotional sweatshirts, etc; and the elimination of hoop marks that can occur with certain problem materials, such as brushed denim and suede. A good Peel and Stick embroidery stabilizer should not have a gummy adhesive. The embroidery backing is generally used by hooping the stabilizer with the release paper facing upward. An X pattern is lightly cut in the hooped center such that the release paper is sliced through but not the backing. Enough of the release paper is peeled back so the portion of the garment to be embroidered can be stuck to the embroidery stabilizer. Every embroidery shop should have a roll of this peel and stick embroidery backing.
Sticky Back Tear Away Stabilizer has one side coated with an adhesive that has superior hold, yet tears away. Fabric sticks to the stabilizer once the release paper is removed, and the adhesive leaves no gummy residue on the needle or machine parts Simply hoop the stabilizer, release paper side up; score; and remove paper to expose the adhesive Use to embroider items too small or irregularly shaped to hoop, such as cuffs, collars, pockets, totes, and children's garments and a avoid hoop marks on napped and fine fabrics Works well with polyester thread, rayon thread, any Madeira embroidery thread or Sulky embroidery thread. Will also work with many different embroidery bobbins.
